Rattlers off to ATHENS!

The Rattlers finished their last practice today and will be heading to the University of Georgia to compete at the Coastal Collegiate Swimm Association Conference Championships from Feb. 17-19, 2011. For more information please check out the CCSA conference championship website!

Men's Weekend Preview: Florida A&M versus Florida State

After many weeks of waiting, the 2010-2011 Men's swimming team will get their first competition of the season as they take on cross town rival Florida State University. 
While the women were on the road earlier this month at the University of North Florida, the men have been patiently preparing over the month of October. With some new faces, the men are looking forward to going after their relays this season as well as prove themselves in the stroke events. The freshman men will have some great competition to get their first race under their belts.
Florida States enters Saturday's meet with a 2-0 record after defeating first year program Nova Southeastern University 133-69 on October 9th. The Seminole men also comes into this meet with a strong second place finish in the Florida Invite earlier this month. The meet will be held at the Morcom Aquatics Center at 11:00am. .

Women's Weekend Preview: Florida A&M hosts Florida Gulf Coast

This Friday, the Lady Rattlers (0-1,0-1) will host three-time CCSA conference champion Florida Gulf Coast University(1-0,0-0).
This will be the first home meet of the season for the Lady Rattlers. The women are excited about swimming some great comeptition and stepping up in their respective events.
Head Coach Jorge Olaves says that he is looking to see Freshman Reina Pate continue to shine after some great swims at the University of North Florida. The Clinton, Maryland native got things off to a good start by etching her name into the university records books in the women's 100 yard butterfly. She posted the fifth fastest time in school history.
Florida Gulf Coast enters Friday's dual meet with a 1-0 record after dominating in-state rival FAU 170-114 at the at the FAU Aquatic Center on October 9th. This will be the first conference competition for the Eagles. 
The dual meet will be held at the Morcom Aquatics Center at 5:00pm. .

The Rattlers finished their last practice today and will be heading to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to compete at the Coastal Collegiate Swimm Association Conference Championships from Feb. 18-20, 2010. For more information please check out the CCSA conference championship website!
